I was called to a home to fix a slow-draining kitchen sink. Upon inspection, I found that the kitchen drain was clogged and needed to be snaked. While snaking the drain, I noticed that the dishwasher tailpiece was hanging on by a thread. I also noticed that the gasket was deformed. To resolve the issue, I installed a new dishwasher tailpiece and re-assembled the drainage. After snaking and re-assembling the drainage, I tested for proper operation and drainage, and there were no leaks observed at this time.
