Customer purchased a new Tesla and level 2 charger. We installed the new charger next to the main panel located in the front right corner in the garage and wired accordingly. We installed a new 60 amp circuit and installed a 60 BR series breaker to power unit. Once the panel was opened I found that the panel was in excellent condition. The one issue I did find was that the service cable running from the meter to the panel has begun to deteriorate and break apart. This allows water to run inside the cable and corrode the conductors. We round recommend replacing the service cable. I did also notice that there was no surge protection inside the panel as well. Even though they are not enforced by PG county we do highly recommend them (especially with electric cars). I am providing separate quotes for these 2 tasks.
