Customer requested plumber access and problematic areas in kitchen underneath second-story master bath Technician requested drywall demo access as needed Containment of kitchen with up to one zipper door as needed Demo and removal of materials only as needed Tech found burst angle stop supply line leaking from master bathroom down to kitchen recommended immediate cut and cap Cap existing angle stop only with temporary cap Leak appears to have been found within 24 hours of occurrence Plumbing estimate does not include any plumbing repair Plumbing estimate will not include anything not listed clearly in contract
Tech located 3/4" hot water line the burst in the slab. Tech had to removed a section of the Bottom of the vanity cabinet to access the main hot water manifold. The pipe affected was rolling underground from the water heater to the back to back bathroom vanity. This pipe supplies hot water to both bathrooms. The only hot water still active is the kitchen sink. Tech is recommending doing a reroute over head instead of repairing it through the floor.
