System Evaluation & Performance Summary We inspected your Carrier builder-grade HVAC system after concerns were raised about a loud compressor noise noted during a recent home warranty visit. Thank you for sharing the video—this was very helpful in our evaluation. After reviewing the footage and performing a full mechanical inspection, we’re happy to report that the compressor is operating well and shows no signs of mechanical failure. The noise captured in the video is consistent with a system being restarted before refrigerant pressures had time to equalize. When a system is not allowed a full 5-minute off cycle before restarting, this type of sound can occur and is not uncommon. Under normal operating conditions, the system is functioning properly. During our visit, we thoroughly checked the system’s electrical and performance readings. While overall performance was good, we did identify that the existing capacitor was at the end of its service life. To improve efficiency and pro
