Preformed heating maintenance on 2023 Trane gas furnace. I tested all electrical components and safeties on the inside unit. All tested within manufacturer specifications. I changed the filter for the client. Aprilaire 213 20x25x4. Temperature being supplied to the home was at 104 and the return was at 69. I then proceeded outside where I visually inspected the condenser unit. As I was visually inspecting the unit I noticed the unit did not have any type of surge protection on it. Surge protection can help prevent damage during a lightning storm or possible surge in power. I provided an estimate to has surge protection installed on the outside unit. Unit was heating upon departure.
