1 yr ago we had a reg maintenance done on our a/c heating unit. Then we paid a monthly fee of $11 for a year that would cover having a maintenance done in a yr and some perks for any service calls being $1 and discount on any services/repairs needed. This 2nd yearly maintenance visit was a surprise in that it wasn't through like the first one. The only thing that was looked out was the unit itself while a/c was on. No temps were taken at each vent inside and nothing was checked on heating side of the unit. Won't continue the monthly fee after these 12 payments.

Thanks for the feedback Pamela, your numbers should of been emailed but here they are: Split:18 Humidity:49 Super Heat:11 Sub Cool:9 These number show your equipment is in good shape and unless you told tech of rooms having diff temp they would not of check. We also have photos of equipment taking measurements. Your maintenance is month to month so I can cancel today if you like, but if the next maintenance provider try's to sell you something and you want a second opinion you will have to pay the 189 fee again you paid when starting. We pride ourself on the quality of our maintenance service with the number one complaint of other maintenance programs being that they try to sell you something every time X company came out. I there is something wrong with your unit we would love to come out and charge for repair if you call another company I can guarantee something will be wrong.

Gerald found our system had iced up and instructed us what to do to thaw out and he even programed our thermostat to keep it from happening again. Will definitely be using them for yearly maintenance on the unit. Very happy with the service, quick response and help.

Today we visited to evaluate the air quality. Ishwar noticed when the AC is running his allergies flare up. He suspects the ductwork should be replaced because it is original to the home. We confirmed the ductwork requires replacing. The ductwork is original metal with exterior insulation. The ducts are leaking at nearly every connection and the insulation is degrading. We also discovered the AC unit is designed to operate with a 0.3in. W.C. Static pressure but it is running at 180% of the rated load. This high pressure prevents the AC from performing as the manufacturer designed and this further contributes to poor air quality and creates the environment for mold growth inside the unit.
Checked unit operations. Found no current issues, however vacuumed out the drain line, and balanced the 410A charge. Unit DeltaT is 20.5/ 82 return, 61.5 supply.

Performed free maintenance on system. Sprayed wash over evaporator coil and drain pan. System was one pound low 410a refrigerant. Topped off. Hosed down condenser coils and took pressure readings along with subcool and superheat. Amp draws are good capacitors and controls check normal. Media filter attached to air handler needs to be replaced. Aprilaire 110

Today we visited to follow up. Jordan has been having trouble with the new AC. The unit would randomly turn off particularly when they were not home. We learned the new Nest thermostat was running an ECO MODE that would turn off the AC when it sensed no one was home. We disabled the ECO MODE and Jordan will follow up.

Today we visited to provide pricing to replace and redesign the ductwork. The existing ductwork is dilapidated and in poor condition. The supply Plenum has fallen off of the air handler, although we did try to prop it up in hopes to provide some quick relief. James put together the three duct options, but we noted the only ductwork available is the R6.
