Replaced the gauge and vent combination on the exterior oil tank to improve accuracy and ease of reading. Upon inspection, it appears the copper supply and return lines entering the tank have become slightly bent upward over time due to normal usage. This may prevent the system from utilizing the full capacity of the tank, as the pickup line may not reach the lowest level of oil. The system is currently operating as a two-pipe supply and return configuration using compression fittings. We recommend scheduling an estimate in the spring to replace the existing oil lines from the tank to the furnace to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The vent whistle was tested and is functioning properly at this time. Recommendations: • During the winter season, do not allow the oil level to drop below 1/4 tank to avoid fuel supply issues related to line elevation.
