The home lacked adequate protection against sediment and debris entering the water system, which can negatively impact water quality and damage plumbing fixtures and equipment. We recommended and installed a new spin-down sediment filter to improve water quality and provide long-term system protection. To allow for proper installation, the water system was shut down and fully drained, and the pressure tank was relocated approximately 3 feet to the right due to limited clearance at the original location. The pressure tank was reconnected to the incoming well water supply and securely mounted to the wall. New piping was installed from the pressure tank up the wall into a three-valve bypass for the filter, then reconnected to the existing main water supply serving the home. All piping was properly supported with new hangers, leveled, and secured. A hose adapter was installed at the bottom of the spin-down filter to allow for easy cleaning and maintenance.
