The homeowners reported a leaking pipe in the basement. Upon evaluation, we determined that the check valve on the well expansion tank had a hairline crack, which was identified as the source of the leak, along with corrosion on the adjacent piping. We removed the damaged and corroded section of pipe, replaced the check valve, and installed new piping to restore a leak-free connection. The system was inspected after completion to confirm the repair was successful and no further leaks were present at the time of service.
