Arrived on site to diagnose no heat. From the notes, the property management already diagnosed a bad thermostat. Confirmed that thermostat had failed. When buttons were pressed the thermostat would shut off randomly. Provided an estimate to replace which was accepted. We then jumped out the zone to verify it was not the control board acting up. Boiler fired up as expected. We found that the board was replaced recently since we saw the old board on the floor. We found that zone 6 was set up for priority which was causing the other zones to not heat up until zone 6 was satisfied. This boiler services multiple units so there is no reason priority should be on. We believe that when the control board was replaced the installer forgot to turn the priority switch off. We then replaced the thermostat and tested operation. The thermostat now properly calls for heat and the control board properly tells the circulator to start moving water. Thank you for your business!
