The laundry room and bathroom experienced a loss of water service due to frozen pipes, with limited flow returning only to the cold side of the faucet. Upon arrival, we found that the hot water line serving the laundry room lavatory sink had frozen, consistent with an issue reported the previous week. We confirmed that the clothes washer had both hot and cold water available and left the hot side of the lavatory faucet open. With homeowner approval, we prepared to access the crawl space to thaw the affected section of piping and inspect the lines. While removing the blue board insulation covering the frozen pipe, water flow resumed from the hot side of the lavatory faucet. Due to the washer running, the faucet being open, and an increase in ambient temperature, the frozen section thawed naturally without the need for active thawing.
