Arrived onsite to investigate a no-heat issue on a Mitsubishi mini-split system with one outdoor unit and three indoor units. None of the indoor units were operating and there were no indicator lights. Upon inspection, the outdoor unit was also found to have no power. During our thorough evaluation, I found that one of the power wires to the outdoor unit had shorted against the jacket. I temporarily wrapped the damaged section with electrical tape to restore power and provide heat. I recommended replacing the power wire from the disconnect to the outdoor unit and routing it properly. We will contact the customer to schedule an electrician.
