For this job I met with the homeowners to discuss the proposed second floor bathroom installation. Another contractor had previously started the installation of the pvc drainage and pex water supply pipes. After further investigation, some of the connections that were made are not approved under the VT State plumbing code. In order to complete the project, a number of connections will have to be replaced. For example, rubber fernco fittings were used within the ceiling/floor assembly and sanitary tee fittings were used instead of a directional wye combo fitting. Estimates may be sent via email. The homeowners were going to discuss the next steps amongst themselves and a phone conversation will be scheduled to determine the next steps.
