Arrived onsite to investigate a frozen condensate line on a Viessmann propane boiler. The condensate line was run outside and had frozen; the homeowner had temporarily routed it into a bucket and was emptying it daily. With the customer’s approval, I thawed the 1/2” PVC drain and reconnected the condensate line back into it. Verified proper operation, and the system is working correctly at this time. I recommend installing a new condensate line, surface-mounted above the entry door and routed into the washing machine drain in the adjacent room. I will provide an estimate and follow up.
