Job Checkin

Arrived on site to investigate insufficient heat in the mudroom. This area is heated by a radiant zone, and the system has been struggling to keep up during very cold temperatures. Upon arrival, the thermostat was set to 66°F and the room temperature was 65°F. It was also noticeably warmer outside today compared to recent days. I checked the radiant supply temperature, which was at 140°F—the maximum I would recommend for this application. Floor temperature was measured at 80°F, which is appropriate for radiant heat and indicates the system is operating as designed. The thermostat in this room is known to be inconsistent, which may be contributing to the issue. I recommended replacing the thermostat. Estimates to replace it were emailed to the customer, and they will advise if they would like us to proceed.
