Upon inspection, it was determined that the drainage system was leaking due to the trap not being properly connected. We cut and modified the existing trap arm as needed to achieve proper alignment, removed the improperly installed components, and installed a new correctly sized P-trap. The new trap was securely reattached to the existing drain line and fixture drain to create a tight, code-compliant connection. After completing the repair, the drainage system was thoroughly tested to confirm proper flow and to ensure there were no leaks present.
