Returned under warranty to repair a leak on the wall-hung high efficiency boiler. The pressure relief valve, which had been replaced on a recent visit, had discharged again and was leaking without resealing, so it was replaced under warranty. The condensate trap was also found leaking at the connections; these connections were remade and tested to ensure a proper seal. The thermal expansion tank was replaced due to failure. During refilling of the boiler after repairs, the automatic water feeder initially would not introduce water into the system, then suddenly began feeding continuously and would not shut off, causing the boiler to over-pressurize. The system was immediately drained back to proper operating pressure and the automatic water feeder was isolated to prevent further over-pressurization. The homeowner had left during service; a quote for replacement of the malfunctioning automatic water feeder was sent via email for review and approval.
