The new 50-gallon Rheem Marathon electric water heater was installed and placed into service, with both thermostats set to 140 degrees and a mixing valve adjusted to provide 120-degree water at the home’s fixtures. A new electrical disconnect was added at the unit, and the hot and cold lines were repiped with individual shut-off valves and properly supported with hangers. After installation, the system was filled, powered, and tested to verify correct operation and confirm that no leaks were present.
