Arrived onsite to investigate a no-hot-water issue. The home has a Rheem 40-gallon propane power-vented water heater that we installed in May 2025. During my thorough evaluation, I found the burner heavily sooted and the combustion air safety tripped. I contacted tech support, and they are sending a new orifice and a new combustion air safety. I cleaned the burner, removed the soot buildup, and checked the gas pressure, which was within spec at 12 in/wc. The homeowner mentioned that the issue began after they ran out of propane. Rheem is sending the parts to the customer, I told them to let us know when they receive them so we can schedule. The parts are covered under Raheem’s warranty and the labor is covered under Jerm’s 1 year warranty.
