The downstairs toilet was previously found to have a cracked tank caused by freezing conditions, which compromised the integrity of the unit and created a risk of leaks and further damage. The existing toilet had been removed during a prior visit and the toilet flange replaced. During this visit, the new customer-supplied toilet was assembled and installed, secured to the flange using new toilet bolts, wax ring, and supply line. The toilet was tested through multiple flush cycles with no leaks observed at this time. A bead of caulking was applied around the base of the toilet to provide additional stability and allow for easier cleaning. The existing bathroom lavatory faucet was found to be corroded and no longer operating reliably. The old faucet and pop-up assembly were disconnected and removed, and all mounting surfaces were thoroughly cleaned.
