The existing exterior hose bib was found to be frozen, with visible ice present on the spout, indicating a failure of the fixture and a risk of internal damage. The water supply was properly shut off, the damaged hose bib was removed, and a new frost-free hose bib was installed to prevent future freezing in cold temperatures. The new fixture was securely installed, the water line was reconnected, and the system was tested to confirm proper operation and to ensure there were no leaks present. We left hose bib shut off for remainder of the winter.
