The combustion safety device on the water heater was replaced. The water heater was re-vented into a different flue, and the previous vent connection where it tied into the boiler flue was properly capped. The burner assembly was cleaned and vacuumed, and the burner gasket was replaced. All gas connections were leak-checked using a soap and bubble test, with no leaks detected. The unit was tested through normal operation and is functioning as intended. We recommend having the chimney evaluated, as the boiler flue is exhibiting weak draft.
