Replace 4 hardwired smoke detectors with 4 new BRK smoke detectors. Comes with a 5 year Haas and Sons warranty and a 10 year manufacturer warranty. Install a #4 copper bonding wire between the hot and cold water lines. Reason for todays’ call was to look at replacing 4 smoke detectors. While assessing the smoke detectors I noticed that the detectors were starting to yellow, indicating that they were past their expiration date, and needed to be replaced. The detectors were also of the non-sealed type. While doing my safety assessment, I discovered the water heater was not bonded. I gave solutions to replace the detectors with customer and company supplied models, as well as bonding the water heater. Customer decided to replace the detectors with Haas and Sons supplied detectors and to bond the water heater.
