- V.I.P Membership Activated Reason for today’s visit with the customer was to investigate a loud attic fan. Upon inspection there is currently tow Smart MasterFlow Attic fans in place. The one on the left side was squealing intermittently but upon visual inspection there was nothing hitting the blades during its rotations. I believe either the main bearing seal or one of the bearings is failing. Customer was advised to leave it off until it can be replaced or repaired. The other attic fan directly beside it is also wobbling horribly inside of its fan housing. This one however is not making any noise but you can feel its vibrations running through the roofing joists when it is in full operation. My recommendation for today was to replace both with Quiet-Cool smart attic fans. During my visual inspection of the electrical system I also noticed very yellow smoke detectors indicating they need to be replaced as well. There are eight detectors in total.
