Replace improper switch Require stairs 3 ways Reason for today’s visit was to assess hallway lights not working on top two floors. Upon inspection was easy to determine that the switches had been replaced sometime recently. Customer had recently just purchased the Home and was unaware of them not working. Once once I open the switches, I was able to determine that they were all wired in properly. There was two locations where single pole switches were installed in place of where three ways should’ve been. We took apart all the switches for the stairwell lights and rewired them and installed the two proper three ways. Once installed, we tested all the lights and they are now working properly. We informed customer that if these were wired so badly that he should have the rest of the home inspected as there is many devices to out that I’ve been replaced with the same style devices.
