Reason for today’s visit was to assess power loss to the front bedroom, closest to the front door of the condo. When I arrive, customer stated that he had already tried troubleshooting the room however there was only one receptacle that had power. Some of the devices were already pulled out. I then sucked my tester on the first receptacle that was not working, and I immediately noticed there was no continuity between the neutral and the ground. This is normally a sign that there is a trip GFI somewhere before area in question. I could see outside the window right there on the porch. There was a GFCI receptacle in an in used cover. I stepped out onto the balcony and opened up the cover and noticed that the GFCI was indeed tripped. I reset the GFCI and power was restored.
