Job Checkin

For this job I worked on a power loss issue in the basement. We found multiple burnt up receptacles and conductors on the circuit. Additionally, we found a few switches not functioning properly. We suggest at minimum replacing all the devices on the circuit and rewiring each box along with the installation of a surge protector in the main panel, as there is not one currently present. We also noticed no GFCI at the washer in the basement as well as (2) multi-wire branch circuits improperly wired in the panel, being on (4) single pole breakers rather than the necessary (2) 2 pole breakers with a common trip handle. We suggest having these safety items remediated to meet today’s safety minimum requirements.
