I arrived at our clients home for the upstairs unit not coming on and the thermostat was unresponsive. Our client showed me exactly which thermostat was blank and I proceeded to check voltage. It was not receiving any power. I proceeded upstairs to the attic and diagnosed a failed water safety switch. It had some evidence of water but the drain line was currently empty. I proceeded to replace the failed component under parts and labor warranty. Once replaced I tested the unit to ensure it was working properly. The set point was 78° so I turned it down and confirmed it was cooling properly. Client is only responsible for the dispatch fee today.
