I returned to our clients home to evaluate the duct work for the newly installed 2.5 ton unit it. Previously the unit only had a single Return duct in the all way and te bedroom returns vents were still connected to the large main up-flow 5 ton unit. They made changes to the orientation no the bedroom returns and connected them properly to the correct system. This allows for proper airflow and better comfort in the master bedroom and the other bedrooms. The large 5 ton up-flow unit was moved also to allow for proper clearance for the air filter. The air filter was damaged and the prospective homeowner elected to leave the filter in place. The cabinet door for the cased coil was also secured with set screws and some tape. The larger unit does also have 2 “jump returns” in the hallway where the return vents for the “wine room” and “formal dining room” are connected to the same vent space in the ceiling. I informed the prospective buyer that this is considered correct but it again presen
