Arrived on site for no cool, due to clogged drain line. Homeowner noticed water coming out of the secondary drain line. Homeowner stated everything else was working well to his knowledge. Began inspection at vent stack and noticed there was no water. This is likely because the homeowner had the unit off for sometime and it could drain slowly. I then tested the drain line by pouring half a gallon down the drain line and sure enough it backed up to the vent stack. Perform cursory inspection of outdoor unit and found nothing of immediate concern, however, we will need to further inspect when we come back out for the maintenance. Discussed possible options for drain line unclogging including blowout valve and float switch. Homeowner elected for a level one drain clearing and maintenance performed drain line clearing, including blowing out the drain line with nitrogen and disassembling the upstairs sink where the drain line ties in and cleaning out any blockages I could find there.
