Preformed heat maintenance on a 2019 carrier gas furnace. I tested all electrical components and safeties on the inside unit. All tested within manufacturer specifications. I did find that the ducts were covered in dust along with the plenum boxes. I changed the filter for the client 20x25x4. Temperature being supplied to the home was at 130 degrees and 77 degrees returning to the unit. I proceeded outside to visually inspect the outdoor unit. I did notice that there was some hail damage to the fins. Also I noticed the system did not have any surge protection on it. Client asked if I would take a look at his fireplace vent to see about a replacement, i inspected the vent and it does have some significant hail damage to the outer casing. This is not our area of expertise and I am recommending the client to contact a fireplace repair company. I provided estimates to have all concerns spoke about in today’s visit remedied. Unit was heating upon departure.
