I performed a single system heating maintenance on a 2017 zoned gas system. I checked amps, filter, electrical, flame sensor, igniter, cleanliness, and safeties. The system is heating and performing well. Customer and I spoke about air quality and a noise when the furnace comes on. I observed that the outdoor unit did not have surge protection and the primary drain did not have a water safety switch. The noise from the furnace was caused by debris build up in the flue pipe and inducer motor. I provided options to improve air quality, safety, and remove the debris. Customer opted to clean the inducer only and for me to email the airscrubber pricing. I performed the work at the time of service and collected. The system is performing inside of manufacture specifications at departure.
