I performed a single heating maintenance on a 2023 Lennox gas system. I checked amps, filter, electrical, cleanliness, and safeties. Once I proceeded to the attic I heard a noise coming from the furnace. I opened the system up and began checking. I discovered that the noise is coming from the blower motor. Customer stated that you can’t hear it from within the home. I determined that the bearings are worn on the blower motor resulting is a noise that is deemed not normal. The blower motor is an X13 and still covered by warranty. I noticed that the unit does not have surge protection and offered it as well. Customer declined repairs at the time of service.
