Upon arrival, the customer filled me in on the issue. The heating strips were not doing their job when emergency heat is engaged. The customer and I proceeded to the attic to investigate. I found that the breaker was disengaged for 10kw of the heat. I turned it on and confirmed that all heating strips are operational. I noticed that the heating strips are wired to run a higher than recommend blower speed. This was causing the temperature rise to only be 13 degrees. I got confirmation from the customer to adjust the wiring. The new temperature rise is 42 degrees. I cycled it a couple of times and verified it was going to perform properly. Blower is set to a higher speed and moving too much air across the heat strips. This is not allowing the heating strips to gain enough heat. Customer would like to wait to sign up for maintenance.
