 
 
				Heat preventative maintenance on 3 heat pumps one from 2002 (upstairs) and the other two from 2015 (downstairs living room and other unit for bedrooms). The newer units are Trane communicating units that use air filter 20*25*4 and the upstairs unit is a basic heat pump using air filter 20*25*1. During our inspection I checked temperatures, checked electrical connections and components, and inspected systems for dirt buildup. On the upstairs unit I found the drain pan to be rusted through and on the main unit taking care of the living room the condenser fan motor is over amping/overheating. We informed the customer of our findings and he wishes to leave everything as is for now. During our visit customer wanted to know why his new generac generator wasn’t working with his Trane systems. We did inform the customer that due to them being communicating systems and having an inverter drive board outside they will not work with a generator because they need constant voltage.
