Preformed single system heating maintenance on a 2019 gas furnace. I tested all electrical components and safeties. All tested within manufacturer specifications. I checked the inside unit for cleanliness. I did find that the blower wheel was dirty. With it being dirt it can cause drag and motor failure. I was getting a supply temperature at 112 degrees with the return at 68 degrees. I changed filter for client 16x25x1. I proceeded outside to visually inspect the outdoor unit. I did notice that the condenser coils were dirt with dirt/debris, this cause can cause issues with the unit not being able to have the proper airflow and not cool the house properly, also can lead to the coils to possibly leak. I also the unit did not have any type of dedicated surge protection. By adding surge protection to the hvac unit I can help in the events of a lightning storm, black/brown out or any type of surge in power that can cause harm to the units electrical components or unit failure.
