Upon arrival, I found that the system was fully operational. I began checking the indoor and outdoor equipment. I hooked up my gauges and seen odd refrigerant pressures. I took a temperature split, checked start amps, run amps, and capacitor. The system is fully functional and inside of range in every aspect besides the temperature split 79/62 and refrigerant pressures. I found that the ducts are quite dirty and the filter is in need of replacement 20x25x4. I proceeded to test the integrity of the compressor. I performed a pump down. The compressor failed to pump down within reasonable time frame indicating the compressor is starting to not pump refrigerant properly. I had the warranty checked and it expired in July of 2025. The system is a 2020 Trane Heatpump. With it being outside of warranty, I am no longer able to acquire a 410a compressor to replace it with. I spoke with the home owner about his option.
