Preformed single system maintenance on a 2022 heat pump. I tested all electrical components inside and checked the heat strips as well. All electrical components and heat strips tested within manufacturer specifications. I changed the filter for the client 20x25x4. I did notice the client did not have a float switch to shut off the unit in case of a clog or a blow out valve to help better assist in removing a clog. I then proceeded outside to check all electrical components and start amps for the compressor. I found that all electrical components tested within manufacturer specifications, but the amps at start up were over 100 amps rated manufacturer limit is 104 amps on start up. I presented all findings to the client. Client elected to have hard start kit, float switch and blow out valve installed. Showed before and after pictures of work completed and showed the start amps of the compressor went from over 100 amps down to 45 amps. Client was also interested in having an estimate lef
