Job Checkin

Arrived on site for heating maintenance, homeowner stated all was well with regards to normal unit operation. Began inspection at the outdoor unit and found the contactor was showing signs of pitting and burning and was also testing with higher than manufacturer specified resistance. Capacitor was testing within manufacturer specs. Proceeding to the furnace I cleaned the flame sensor and verified its functionality. I then tested the pressure switch and cleared it ports to prevent malfunction. I then tested measured amp draw on the inducer motor and found it to be within range. Igniter was performing as intended and I was the able to verify gas valve and burners were behaving properly. I brought the worn contactor to the homeowners attention and he elected to put it off for now as he intends to only use the cooling for a few more weeks at most and will address the issue later. System in good working order upon departure.
