Customer stated that the unit cools fine but drips a little on the bottom part of the coil on the supply side. When I opened the coil, it looks like the blower is throwing water because of static pressure. This is a 4 ton gas system with a 16” return on it. The system needs an additional 14” return added to allow proper airflow for the system. I could not get a clear view of the primary drain pan, but I seen some questionable spot with pictures. With limited access to the evaporator coil, the logical repair is to replace the evaporator coil under warranty because attempting to replace the primary pan only will be extremely labor intensive. I generated an option to add a 14” return to the master bedroom, replace the evaporator coil, and maintenance program on both systems. Both systems are from 2019.
