Upon arrival, I found that the blower motor was not coming on. I discovered that the bolt holding the blower has stripped due to the blower wheel being dirty. I pulled the blower assembly out of the unit and was able to secure the blower back in place (for now). The blower would start up but sounded awful. With the customer’s approval, I replaced the capacitor. The blower sounds 10 times better. I informed the customer of the severity of the unit and informed her that the system is in rough shape. The unit needs a full cleaning of the evaporator coil and blower wheel. Customer was up and cooling upon departure.
