I performed a single system heating maintenance on a 2021 heat pump. I checked amps, heat kit, capacitor, electrical components, filter, cleanliness, air quality, and safeties. The system is performing in manufacture specifications. During my thorough evaluation, some potential issues stood out to me. These include: electrical, safeties, and cleanliness. While evaluating the indoor, I noticed some growth forming inside of the indoor unit. If left unattended to, it will become harder to contain. In a past visit, the customer and I had a discussion about air flow. I revisited options to address these concerns. The air quality check showed signs of high particles and chemicals and can cause uncomfortable conditions inside the home. The capacitor on the outdoor unit is reading at the minimum it can to remain inside of manufacture specifications. The units are not currently protected with surge protectors. I presented options to address these noticed concerns at the time of service.
