Arrived to the outdoor unit making a loud whirling noise. We had recently preformed some work to help keep the compressor working. I immediately found that it was a failing condenser fan motor. The motor was not spinning fast enough and the bearings were grinding. I showed my finding to our client and we discussed repairs vs replacement options. He elected to move forward with the replacement and we are scheduled to install the equipment on Friday.
