Tech arrived on site. Power surge knocked out portions of electrical and burnt up wiring. System is in poor condition, lack of good filtration caused lots of dirt build up in motor. Replaced burnt out transformer and tested system out. It is operational for now. Flames were yellow. Indicating incomplete combustion. Unit is operational upon departure. 90 day warranty on component.
Arrived on site to diagnose 1990 up flow unit. Unit located in garage. Client stated furnace hasnâ€™t been working as it should this past year. They just recently moved into home and they had Ac replaced with home warranty replaced Full Ac. But heater stayed original. Furnace is pro to home. Cycled unit and found heating sequence to not turn on on flame. Inspected all electrical and parts and components. Found power was getting sent to igniter but was not turning. Furnace would work and gas turns on but due to no flame heater is not operating and it doesnâ€™t heT up and motor will not turn on at all. They saw Ac works but since itâ€™s not heating up to temp blower motor will not turn on. Overall advised unit is in very bad condition. As blower assembly is covered in dirt. Motor has oil and dirt build up. Drain lines are dirty. Heat exchanger has a lot of heat impingement inside due to the long life of 30 years. Upon arrival performed Maintenance on 2 system heat pump units. Found filter to be dirty , client ordered some replacements on Amazon. Evap coils are clean. Washed outdoor coils as they were very dusty. Found compressor for downstairs amping at 26 amps, secondary motor control was completely out of range. Replaced with 80/10 and system is now running 50% lower then max amps. Client is paying well over $1000 in electrical bills. Condenser fan motor is leaking excessive amounts of oil. Hardstart kits are in working order. Electrical fuses good. Dusted off return vents. Thermostats in working order. Client is gonna replace system just does not want to at this moment. When time is right she will call. System is operational upon departure.
Arrived on site to perform spring tune tune up on a 2005 unit. Cons in back yard client stated no issues. Cycled on. Washed condenser coil inside and out. Primary starter burnt up and original. Secondary was good as it was replaced recently. Fan motor has been leaking oil from over working and age. Start up amps are high recommended booster kit. Run amp are pulling 21 and max rated at 23 or 28 unable to see data chart. Checked pressure and are in range and cooling. Advised a lot of worn out part due to age. Advised client of them and he didnâ€™t want to go over recommendations just wanted maintenance as he did not even want to sit down and go over findings and recommendations he said to email it all over. Client declined recommended work at this time and he is aware he did not want to go over recommendations today. System is operational upon departure.
Arrived on site to perform diagnostic on 15 year old unit. Homeowner stated that itâ€™s not cooling and the system sounds a lot louder than it normally does. The other day she also noticed that the condenser motor was not turning on. Cycled system for cooling. Unit kicked on but air is not cold, but also not completely hot. Checked outdoor unit electrical and system components. Compressor is extremely loud and running amps are 30.1 which is extremely high. Found a completely dead secondary motor control for compressor. Compressor hard start kit was the only reason that compressor was still turning on but it was not compressing refrigerant the way that it should and was working harder than it should and causing refrigerant pressures to be way off. Also fan motor was not wired in correctly and was connected into compressor terminal on secondary motor control. Corrected wiring and put in new secondary motor control to fully test equipment. Arrived on site to perform repair on 14 year old unit. Tenant states system is not operating. Per nick the circuit board was replaced recently before he purchased home. Cycled system for cooling. Indoor unit cycles on, outdoor unit is unresponsive. Checked outdoor unit electrical and system components. System is recieving proper high low voltage power but there is no low voltage command present. Performed troubleshooting on wire from condenser to furnace and found that wires that were being used were shorted out, and also found a bad contactor low voltage coil. Wire had spares so Rewired at furnace as well as at outdoor condenser. Replaced primary motor control. Cycled system on and system started cooling. Temperature split is in range. Checked system amp draws. Went over all findings and recommendations with homeowner. Wants to hold off on maintenance program and only take care of whatâ€™s immediately necessary. System is operational upon departure.
Performed AC diagnostic on 2005 Brian Condenser. Upon my diagnostic client Stated that system would not drop below 90Â° in the house. They believed that the system was old and may need to be replaced although I wanted to see what was going on with it first to verify the full condition of it. Heater is from 1984 and Ac is from 2005. Systems are way past design life and showed many terminal faults. Upon arrival I found out the outdoor unit was not kicking on due to the duel secondary motor control becoming defective. 1. Duel secondary motor control was defective on both compressor and fan side terminals due to Compressor using too much power over time. 2. Compressor is pulling 8 A when it is only rated for 11 A. This unit may becoming very close to over amping And put the system at a higher risk of failing once this happens. 3. Starter showed signs of pitting on contact points due to high Amperage. 4. System Contained R22 refrigerant which was phased out January 1, 2020. 5. Condenser fan
Arrived on site to perform diagnostic on 14 year old system. Met with daughter, parents are the homeowners. Father was not home. System stopped cooling yesterday. Inside is just blowing cold air. Cycled system for cooling. Found outdoor unit unresponsive. Checked for power and found a blown fuse. Replaced fuse to continue diagnostic and figure out why the fuse had blown. Amp draws on compressor are normal. Condenser fan motor amp draws are high and out of range, and fan motor has started to leak oil. Primary motor control has burning and pitting at contact points. Secondary motor control is out of range for compressor side. Refrigerant levels are within range and system is producing proper temperature split. System is operating at this time, but could use a good maintenance and a couple parts should be changed out to keep it from working hard enough to where the fuse could pop again. Immediate repair. 90 day warranty. Tech arrived on site. Compressor not operational. Compressor had K ohm to ground. Fan motor is rusted out. Wiring was a mess. Cap on the compressor is completely drained. Replaced the capacitor and the compressor drew LRA but still fired up. Compressor is amping at MAX. this is a temporary repair until new equipment can be installed. Supervisor is coming over to give quotes. Model and serial number were to faded to read.

Arrived on site to perform spring tune up on a 2017 Goodman unit. Climates they just moved in in March and just noticed upstairs systems is not cooling or working. Inspected unit primary okay secondary was in range. Found compressor to be bad as compressor pressures were both high and stuck at 260 psi. Found compressor was shutting off from over load and was opening pressure released valve. Compressor was also crating loud noise as if compressor had things inside rattling. Advised client of fings and client stated downs stirs isnâ€™t cooling as good and advised I would check pressure of down stairs. Inspected unit. Found primary burnt up on contact points. Performed AC maintenance on 2 system 2005 comfort maker Condensers. Upon my maintenance there were multiple points of concerns that were addressed with the homeowner. Downstairs condenser- 1. Outdoor condensing fan motor has significant oil leakage coming from bearing this could potentially lead to the motor locking up or overheating. This component is an essential part for removing heat 2. High-voltage distributor showed signs of pitting on contact points and if pitting worsens this can lead to the system not starting up or shutting off 3. System Contained R22 refrigerant which was completely phased out January 1, 2020. Upstairs condenser- 1. Condenser fan motor was also leaking a significant amount of oil from bearing 2. System also contained R22 refrigerant 3. High voltage distributor had about 75% putting on contact points 4. Compressor saver kit was reading at 227 ÂµF which is the limit for this battery if this exceeds any higher the battery will become defective and no longer us

Tech arrived on site, performed 2 AC tune ups. Cleaned coils and checked amp readings and charge. Went into attic to install IAQ items. Installed 2 merv racks and 2 Phenomenal Airs. Removed old filters. Cycled units to cooling. Cleaned evap coil for downstairs unit.
Performed diagnostic on unit. Age unknown information has faded off. Met with tenants, they have permission from homeowner to have us out here today and they have an agreement to deduct any repairs from the rent. Tenants state that the unit is not cooling. Indoor unit is running, but outdoor condenser fan motor is not turning on. They had this issue about a year ago and it was a bad capacitor, they think itâ€™s the same issue. Performed diagnostic and found that capacitor is indeed bad again. Threw in a temporary secondary motor control to test unit and see why the capacitor is failing prematurely. Capacitor motor is over amping, which is causing capacitor to fail quicker. Fan motor is pulling 2.2 amps and is rated for 1.2 amps max. Went over findings and recommendations with tenants on site. They need to talk to the homeowner before making a decision to see if they want to do more than the minimum. They could not get an answer from homeowner today. Will call back once they hear back f
