I wouldn’t trust this company. The technician connected a device that measured the temperature of the compressor coolant, however that’s all he did. He did not use a multimeter, nor did he provide any recommendations on what he thought was the problem and why my condenser was tripping my circuit breaker. He gave me some very costly options in which the first started at $800 for a simple topping off of refrigerant fluid. After trial and error And a little bit of research I was able to narrow it down to the capacitor that’s inside of my unit. This is $100 part would’ve been an easy replacement. However he chose to take the hundred dollars that I had to pay him just for showing up and leave.
Shane was on time, courteous and knowledgeable. He thoroughly explained how he would service the Minisplit HVAC systems; examined and cleaned the insides and outsides carefully; took photos before and after; showed me the photos explaining the units’ conditions, what my quality of air was inside the house, and what he looked for to catch any degradation now and in future; caught that there was no system surge protection, and installed a new one. Since to double my system’s warranty I need to have qualified technician servicing regularly, I joined the Cool Solutions monthly payment plan and now they call me to schedule. This service call and the install was covered, and I got 20% off the surge protector! Perfect!

Very knowageable, nice and professional. All things I expected based on the reviews. But somtimes you just never know, so I was very pleased that the reviews matched the actual performance. I was a bit surprised by the cost... granted I'm not a HVAC tech so I really had no idea, and we all go into a service call with a preconceived idea of what were in for. I have a condensation pump replaced. My AC/Furnace is a closed unit and my house is on a slab so the condensation must be pumped up through a tube to the attic, and then out to drain outside. I was surprised when the pump, about the size of a shoe box and plastic, came in around $750.00. then labor cost and the supply pcv from the ac to the box was replaced as well. He also opened the old pump box for me as I requested and could see very clearly that it was a complete mess, looked like a jelly fish had exploded in there. Totally disgusting, but could plainly see why it failed, and the critical need and importance of the unit.... It could have lasted longer if I had known to have it serviced and cleaned annually. Made sense based on what I saw. So I will be doing that in the future for sure. I also bought the extended warrantee as insurance and saved a bit on the overall bill with that. All in it was $1,000.00. Excellent service, same day visit, very informed. clean, respectful, completely satisfied. well..except maybe for the cost, but it is what it is! lol... overall, would use again, Even knowing what I know now. thanks Jimmy.

Preformed Ac maintenance on 2008 carrier condensing unit. 1. Starter has pitting and burn marks on contact points which can lead to the system potentially failing to make contact or even weld together 2. Filter is a 14 x 25 x 1, needs to be swapped every one to three months 3. Refrigerant pressures appeared OK at the moment 4. Compressor and fan amps are in range. Mr. Peabody would like an email sent so that next visit we return he would like to replace the starter and renew his membership but would like all his information emailed over for him so that he can prepare for it for next visit. At the time Thereâ€™s no further questions expecting us for the winter visit in the future Upon departure system is operational and cooling.
Preformed AC maintenance on 2008 Rheem condensing unit. Upon arrival client stated that Home originally was an Airbnb but now they have just moved in barely a couple days ago. Preformed full Maintenance and cleaning on outdoor unit. 1. Refrigerant pressures were in range 2. Condenser coil is very dirty and filled with debris 3. Duel secondary motor control is weak on hermetic side terminal which powers the compressor and will put the compressor at a higher risk of failing along with this part. 4. Condenser fan motor is oxidized on shaft but is still spinning properly at this time. 5. Starter has pitting and oxidization on contact point. 6. Filter needs to be swapped every 1-3 months. Discuss for conditioning system with homeowner and at the moment he plans on not renewing the maintenance plan and holding off on any repairs for the system at the moment. He mentioned that they just moved in he needs to discuss with his wife what they would like to do regarding with the AC and heater.
Performed AC maintenance on a carrier system. Units cooling temperature split is 22 degrees. Indoor amps are ok. Blower motor and housing are very dirty. Filter is dirty. Condensate lines are clear. Outdoor unit was deep cleaned. Starting components are in range. Compressor and fan amp draws are ok. Refrigerant levels are low. Customer said he wants to do research on adding refrigerant and doing maintenances himself. I advised him of the dangers. System was running st end of appointment.
Upon arrival performed maintenance on hvac system, client says he does not utilize air conditioning unit. Does not ever wanna use it taking it out of his home. Does not wanna sign up with the membership, said he signed up to do a friend a favor. Had thermostat taken off wall. Washed out coils. Primary contactor is very loud. Condenser fan motor is leaking oil and is very hot when running. Blower wheel is extremely dirty. Indoor motor leaking oil. System is older client isnâ€™t ready to do anything, he and his family do hvac. System is operational.
Upon arrival performed maintenance, opened up system and cleaned out condensing coils. Secondary motor control is beginning to lose value, advised client. Amperages throughout system in range. Refrigerant levels good. Put locking caps back on. Tested electrical fuses. Indoor blower wheel dirty and needs cleaning. Indoor capacitor is running borderline. Indoor motor leaking oil. Return ducting has no seals. Client does not wanna put money into system as he is moving.
Tech arrived on site. Found downstairs ac to be down. Testing indicated the secondary motor controller had failed. Installed testing motor controller. Measured amps on motors. Found start up amps to be high on compressor. Found running amps on fan motor close to max. Oil stains on fan motor. Found refrigerant leak on a service valve. Refrigerant charge is off. Low super heat and high sub cooling. Due to age of system and issues, recommend budgeting for replacement soon before it fails. Have provided quotes for fixing all issues. Installed new motor controller and installed new wire connectors as well. Unit is operational upon departure.
Summer AC Maintenance Performed Upon arrival system is working and operational. I began my maintenance at the outdoor condenser by breaking it down and cleaning with water and coil solution, removing dirt and debris. I inspected electrical components for wear and tight connections. I tested system amperages. I then proceeded to the three indoor blower units . I measured temperature splits. I checked condensates for proper drainage and safety. Filter were washed. Inspected electrical to ensure tight connections and monitor wear. Inspected blower compartment for dust and dirt. Upon inspection of outdoor condenser I found there to be no electrical protection, recommended and installed surge protection onto outdoor unit. Upon departure system is working and operational.
Performed AC maintenance on a Lennox condenser. Units cooling temperature split is 15 degrees. One duct run had a major repair in it that was temporarily fixed today. Indoor amp draws are ok. Blower wheel is clean. Outdoor unit was chemically washed. Compressor start and run amps are in range. Fan motor is reading ok. Refrigerant levels are high. Customer has another company that services the system for cheaper. System was running at end of appointment.
Arrived on site to perform spring tune on a 1997 unit. Condenser located in back yard. Furnace located in garage. Client stated no issues. Washed condenser coil inside and out. Checked electrical compartment and components. Found primary worn out band pitted from age and operation. Secondary motor control is out of range and weak on fan Side. Recommend replacing before completely fails. Fan motor is leaking oil and pulling 1.3 amps and max rated at 1.4. So motors is working almost at max and could fail due to age. Checked compressor start up amps. And pulling high on start up but within range. Run and is pulling 11 amp when max rated at 15. Checked refrigerant pressure and and are good. Unit is cooling home good. Washed out filter as it was really dirty. Blower assembly is dirty from dirt entering unit. No protection on either unit. Recommend adding surge protectors to protect unit from electrical surges and power outages that can damage or even short out systems and components. Went
Inspected system for faults, found system low on charge on arrival. Found no evidence of leaks on any weld or flare connection point. Charged system with r410a and tested indoor coil and txv for leaks. Found leaking capillary tube on the txv. This is a manufacturer defect and will be warrantied. System is cooling at this time but will leak soon. Capped condensate port which was open.
Preformed Ac maintenance on 2018 Lennox system. Verified refrigerant pressures were In range and along with temp splits. Cleaned off condenser coil so that system and breath properly. Duel secondary motor control is range for compressor and fan. Stater showed no signs of pitting on contact points. Filter was clogged with debris and was swapped out. Both indoor and outdoor fan motors showed no signs of oil leakage. Amperage were in range for compressor and fan. Primary is flowing properly and secondary drain is clear. System was reset and tested and recommend 5 inch filter is swapped every 12 months. . Upon departure system is fully operational and cooling.
Arrived on site. Found faulty thermostat shutting down the unit. Bypassed the stat and the unit ran without shutting down. Customer had an old thermostat in cabinet. Quoted to install old stat or install new nest. Talked about service agreement to maintain equipment. Also found condensate line without a vent, and the condensate pump was not wired up properly. Customer declined all recommend repairs and just wanted the diagnostic. Reinstalled old nest and collected the diagnostic fee.
Arrived on site to perform spring tune up on a 1997 carrier unit. Client stated no issues as he barely uses unit or Ac. Cycled system and operational. Washed condenser coil Inside and out. Client has been doing repairs over time. As he replaced secondary motor control and added a compressor booster kit. Fan motor is original to system and home and is leaking oil and pulling max amps. Could fail at any time. Primary starter is original and has worn out contact points. Recommend replacing. Checked pressure and are good as unit uses R-22 refrigerant and is no longer I. Production. Inspected indoor unit. Found filter to be hog hair filter but is clean. Blower compartment has build up. Secondary motor control is going weak as itâ€™s boarder line and will go weak over time and fail. Drain lines are dirty. No drain pan under evaporator coil or system. Drain lines donâ€™t have any over flow safety switches to prevent overflow especially since there is no pan. System is cooling at 19 degrees.
Made airflow adjustments to the manual dampers. Adjusted the register damper in the wifeâ€™s office. There is more airflow to the back office and master now.
