Arrived on site to diagnose humming sound coming from boiler. After our initial inspection, the boiler was not making the sound and hadn’t been for a day or two. Customer mentioned it only occurred during the really cold days we had recently. We tested the condensate pump and had Austin listen to the noise and he said it could have probably been that. There was some water on the floor as well but no sign as to where it came from. There were no drip marks or corrosion on the piping or boiler. Pump could have gotten stuck and overflowed. Asked Austin to take a video of the boiler if the noise happens again. If it does happen again when it’s very cold we have a suspicion that the condensate line is freezing outside but as of right now the system is operating properly with no odd sounds.
