For this job, we responded to inspect a leak reported in the guest bathroom shower. The customer stated that water had been left running while he was away and later noticed water pooling in the kitchen ceiling area directly below the shower. To properly diagnose the issue, an access hole was cut in the bathroom wall to inspect the shower valve and drain assembly. The shower was operated and multiple buckets of water were poured into the base to test the drainage system, and no leaks were found coming from the drain. During inspection, we discovered water leaking from behind the shower valve trim plate. The trim plate was properly sealed with silicone to prevent further water intrusion. We also observed unfinished trim on the exterior edge of the shower, which may have contributed to water escaping the enclosure. Additionally, the kitchen faucet was tightened after noting it was loose. All work was completed, the area was checked for active leaks, and the customer was satisfied with the
