The existing tub/shower valve was leaking and failing to deliver consistent hot water, and due to prior unsuccessful repair attempts, full replacement was recommended to restore proper operation. Water was shut off and the system drained, the existing valve and trim were removed, and a new valve was installed on added blocking with new connections for hot, cold, and shower piping; new trim, tub spout, shower arm, and customer-supplied handheld sprayer were installed, the system was tested with no leaks or issues found, and all trim was sealed with caulking for added waterproofing. The existing mixing valve was leaking and had severely corroded fittings, so replacement was recommended to ensure safe and reliable performance. Water was shut off and the system drained, the failed valve and fittings were removed, and a new mixing valve was installed with new copper piping and adapters; the system was restored and tested with no leaks present at this time.
