The primary bathroom sink was draining slowly due to a buildup in the drain line. Multiple applications of Thrift drain cleaner were applied and flushed with warm water, successfully clearing the blockage and restoring proper drainage; the sink was tested and confirmed to be draining correctly with improved flow. The existing 1” main shutoff valve for the building was not operating reliably. The water was shut off and the system drained, a new 1” quarter-turn shutoff valve was installed and clearly labeled for emergency use, then water service was restored and the system was tested with no leaks present at this time.
