Job Checkin

Arrived on site to inspect leak around furnace. During our inspection, we saw that the water was dripping down from the blower and inside the top compartment where the inducer motor resides. We offered a tune up so we could open everything up and inspect the general health of the furnace and where the condensate was coming from. We found that the secondary heat exchanger was dripping into the blower wheel. This leads us to believe there is a hole or a crack. We also did a lighter test with the gas off and just the blower running. It was extinguishing the flame or sucking it into the burners. This is in line with a compromised heat exchanger. We performed a combustion test and found that the CO levels in the flue were around 70ppm. We had to ultimately red tag the furnace as it is not safe to run in its condition. We are going to write up a quote for a new system and get back to you with more information. Thank you for your patience.
